Restaurant Week Returns to Downtown Frederick | WDVM25 and DCW50


FREDERICK, Md. (WDVM) – Restaurant Week in Frederick, Maryland is officially back, and now that COVID measures are easing and COVID restrictions have been lifted, customers are happy to be back for enjoy a good meal.

Several downtown restaurants will be serving discounted multi-course meals, and with the pandemic beginning to wind down, people are more than happy to return to this special event.

“It was great, restaurant manager Il Porto,” said Obed Nolasco. “After we come out of the pandemic, the support we have from the downtown community and partnership is trying to promote the business.”

Many restaurants use this week to increase their income. With COVID not being a huge factor, it was easier to do that.

For Frederick County, COVID-19 positivity rates have hovered just above 3%. As the county lifted its mask mandate, it made people feel more comfortable going out again.

“It’s wonderful,” said Frederick resident Ted Griffin. “That’s good. Be against it, things go back to normal, then join you here with our friends.

A total of 18 restaurants are participating in the week all around downtown Frederick.
