Paula Sussex joined the Student Loans Company (SLC) in September 2018. Paula has extensive leadership experience, particularly in delivering large-scale transformation and change programs and services in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
A graduate of the London Business School, she first trained as a lawyer before working in the private sector. Her 25-year career has been primarily in consulting, but also in large-scale IT service delivery, most recently as a senior vice president at Logica.
In 2021, on behalf of SLC, Paula was recognized as CEO of the Year by the National Center for Diversity at the annual Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) awards.
Allison Harrison is an entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Stirling. Allison took over small business Hot Yoga Edinburgh in 2014 after working in the drinks industry for 15 years, where she managed the ‘off’ trade (non-bar/restaurant sales) for companies such as Glenmorangie and Innis and Gunn . Since then, she has won three business awards.
Allison is an ambassador for Women’s Enterprise Scotland and has worked extensively to champion women in business and mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs.
