A House of Pies manager was charged this week with purchasing about $ 900 worth of merchandise using a customer’s credit card information, according to court records and the West University Place Police Department.

Tarek Tahan has been identified by police as the manager of the House of Pies located at 3112 Kirby. He was arrested on Wednesday for credit card abuse. He has since posted his $ 1,000 bond.

Police were made aware on August 30 of the fraudulent charges on a man’s credit card. The man said he probably lost his card when he had dined at the restaurant two days earlier.

Police noted several fraudulent purchases at Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond and Academy totaling around $ 900, according to court records. Surveillance footage showed a man later confirmed to be Tahan purchasing the items, according to records.
