Downtown Restaurant Week 2021 kicks off with Philadelphia’s COVID restrictions easing
Now that the restrictions are lifted, more people can dine together.
Dozens of restaurants offer prix-fixe multi-course lunches for $ 20 and $ 35 dinners to enjoy indoors, outdoors, or take home.
There’s also discounted parking starting at $ 9 at the Philadelphia Parking Association and Philadelphia Parking Authority garages from 4:45 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On May 7, the city’s restaurants were able to upgrade to 50% capacity (up from 25%) and 75% for those meeting the city’s improved ventilation guidelines (up from 50%).
The size of the indoor tables has been transferred to six people, and they do not have to be from the same household.
Restaurants can also seat 10 people at tables outside, which is the state limit.
The downtown district has these tips for diners:
– Wear a mask: help keep workers – and yourself safe. Wear a mask until you are ready to eat or drink.
– Keep your distance: stay six feet from others as much as possible.
– Keep your hands clean: wash your hands. Use hydroalcoholic gel. Then wash your hands again to be safe.
– Don’t take risks: if you feel sick, stay home.
Downtown Restaurant Week runs until May 28.
