Ingredients for brioch pasta:

  • 450 gr flour 0
  • 180 gr milk
  • 130g sugar
  • 100 gr butter
  • 1 egg
  • 15 gr yeast
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon peel
  • vanillin

Ingredients for the filling of the Christmas cake:

  • 80 gr sugar
  • 100 gr walnuts
  • 30 gr. Pine nuts
  • 150 g raisins
  • 40 gr butter
  • 40 gr grappa
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Preparation for the brioch pan

Beat the whole egg together with the softened butter, sugar and milk slightly warmed, then add the lemon peel. In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder and vanillin. Gradually add the previously amalgamated liquid part, add a pinch of salt and knead until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained. Format a ball, put it in a bowl, cover and let it rest.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling, mixing all the ingredients well in a bowl. As you can see, the Gubana recipe is not very difficult
At this point all that remains is to conclude the preparation of the delicious gubana. Roll out the first rectangular dough and spread the filling, leveling well, then brush the edges with beaten egg. Roll the dough starting from the longest side and form a spiral, place the Gubana in a mold and let rise for about 2 hours.
